Mapping Home (2014)

Project Description:

Mapping Home reimagines twelve lost places in Tehran that were demolished and replaced with new buildings. Through memory and imagination, a series of architectural drawings were created as an attempt to reconstruct these spaces. Yet, the act of recalling introduces inevitable distortions, producing fictional geographies that blur the line between the real and imagined. This work examines the fragility of memory in shaping personal histories, reflecting on how homes are preserved, transformed, and redefined when their physical presence is erased.
